RBI shifts NRD-CSR reporting to CIMS Sankalan Portal

October 8, 2026

RBI has moved NRD-CSR (R012) reporting under the CIMS Sankalan Portal, requiring monthly submissions by the 10th with revised formats and three approved filing channels.

NRD-CSR reporting shifts to CIMS Sankalan Platform

The RBI has transitioned the submission of Non-Resident Deposits and Capital Account Receipts (NRD-CSR R012) reporting to the new CIMS Sankalan Portal. Authorized dealers must file the returns by the 10th of each month, adhering to revised reporting templates and validation rules.

Three submission modes are permitted: direct web entry, bulk upload via XML, and file transfer through the Central Repository System (CRS). The shift aims to streamline data aggregation under the Central Information Management System (CIMS), enhancing accuracy and real-time monitoring of capital inflows under FEMA.

Institutions must update internal compliance workflows and validate data mappings to avoid delays. The move reflects RBI’s broader push toward integrated digital reporting, replacing legacy systems and circulars with a unified platform.
