The Government of India has announced the re-issue of two dated securities totalling ₹33,000 crore. The first instrument is the 6.53% Government Stock (GS) 2031 with a notified amount of ₹19,000 crore maturing on September 7, 2031. The second is the 7.01% GS 2033 with a notified amount of ₹14,000 crore.

The auction is scheduled for October 22, 2026, and the settlement date is October 23, 2026. These re-issues are part of the government’s market borrowing programme to meet fiscal requirements. The notified amounts will be auctioned through the E-Kuber platform managed by the RBI, using a yield-based competitive bidding process.

These securities will be tradable in the secondary market and eligible for inclusion in statutory liquidity ratio (SLR) holdings. Investors, including banks and mutual funds, are expected to actively participate given the relatively attractive yields in the current interest rate environment.
