DGFT extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme until December 31, 2026, keeping existing rates and value caps unchanged.
RoDTEP Scheme Extended Till December 31, 2026
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme until December 31, 2026, with no changes to existing rates or maximum value caps.
The RoDTEP scheme, designed to neutralize embedded taxes and duties not refunded under other mechanisms, remains a key export incentive. The extension provides continuity for exporters relying on timely reimbursements of unrefunded duties. According to the DGFT notification, all existing rate notifications and operational guidelines will remain in force during the extended period.
For trade practitioners, this extension eliminates uncertainty over near-term policy shifts. Exporters in textile, engineering, and chemical sectors, which depend heavily on RoDTEP benefits, can continue operations without recalibrating cost structures. The unchanged rates suggest policy stability ahead of anticipated GST and customs reforms.
