The RBI has initiated the 74th round of its quarterly manufacturing sector survey.

Launch of OBICUS Survey

The Reserve Bank of India has launched the 74th round of its Order Books, Inventories and Capacity Utilisation Survey (OBICUS) for the period April – June 2026. This survey aims to collect quantitative data on manufacturing sector activities.

Conducted quarterly since 2008, OBICUS provides valuable insights into new orders and inventory levels, which can serve as vital indicators for economic performance and forecast trends in manufacturing.

Stakeholders, including legal advisors in corporate law, should utilize this data to advise clients on market trends and potential regulatory implications affecting the manufacturing sector, consequently aiding strategic planning efforts.
