NSUI Moves Delhi High Court Over CBSE OSM Issues

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has approached the Delhi High Court, filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that alleges significant irregularities and technical failures in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, affecting class 12 students' evaluations.

This petition, submitted by NSUI President Vinod Jhakhar, requests that the Court direct the CBSE to award compensatory marks to students whose answer scripts were missing, blurred, or incorrectly evaluated. The PIL highlights widespread concerns regarding the integrity of the examination process.

Justice Kshitij Shailendra remarked that the judicial system bears immense responsibility in maintaining the sanctity of educational assessments.

Legal practitioners will need to monitor this case closely as it touches on significant issues of educational rights and the accountability of examination authorities, which can have lasting implications for students across the country.
