MCA Introduces Corporate Mitra Scheme
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced the guidelines for its newly launched Corporate Mitra Scheme. This initiative is designed to equip young graduates with the skills necessary to serve as paraprofessionals who can help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with compliance, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and other accounting and financial services. The training will be conducted through a 12-month course offered on the Swayam Plus Portal.
The scheme aims to bridge the skill gap in the MSME sector by providing practical training that aligns with industry needs. Graduates who complete the program will be well-prepared to assist MSMEs in navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance and financial management. This training will be instrumental in strengthening the support system for small businesses across India.
In order to participate, applicants must register through the Swayam Plus portal, where detailed information regarding the course structure and enrollment process is available. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of MSMEs by providing them with adequate support and resources.
“The goal of the Corporate Mitra Scheme is to empower today's graduates to actively contribute to the MSME sector, thereby fostering economic growth and compliance adherence,” said a spokesperson from the MCA.
For legal practitioners advising MSMEs or graduates interested in this field, it is crucial to stay informed about the course offerings and compliance requirements that may arise from the training under this scheme.
