Nirma University’s CIPR invites submissions for JIPL Volume X by 30 November 2026; NLU Delhi’s Innovation Brief seeks blog posts on EU-India FTA by 20 October 2026.
Academic Calls for IP Submissions: JIPL and Innovation Brief
The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR) at Institute of Law, Nirma University, has issued a call for papers for Journal of Intellectual Property Laws (JIPL), Volume X. Submissions must be original, unpublished manuscripts on any aspect of intellectual property law. The deadline is 30 November 2026. Authors are advised to follow the journal’s citation style and submission guidelines available on its website.
Separately, The Innovation Brief, a student-led blog at National Law University, Delhi, is inviting short blog posts on the theme 'Impact of the Intersection of Innovation and Access by the EU-India FTA'. The submission deadline is 20 October 2026. The blog seeks analytical pieces exploring how proposed trade agreement terms might affect technology transfer, compulsory licensing, data exclusivity, and generic drug access in India.
These opportunities provide valuable platforms for practitioners, researchers, and students to contribute to pressing policy debates. The EU-India FTA discussions are particularly sensitive, given concerns about TRIPS-plus provisions potentially restricting affordable medicine access. Thoughtful submissions may influence both academic discourse and policy recommendations.
Contributors should ensure submissions are technically sound, well-referenced, and contextualised within Indian and international IP frameworks. Practitioners are encouraged to share practical insights based on case law or prosecution experience, especially on patent evergreening, enforcement trends, or access mechanisms.
